We are creating a transactive energy platform that allows all stakeholders of an electrical network – generators, distributors and consumers to generate revenue by trading electricity as a commodity at the distribution grid while continuing to operate within the physical constraints of the grid.

The first decade of this century saw the development of “Smart Grid” – a distribution grid with smart devices. This past decade saw an exponential drop in the costs of Distributed Energy Resources. Now, a Transactive Energy Platform is needed to tie the Smart Distribution Grid with the Potential of Distributed Energy Resources.
GridS2’s qEX Platform allows for a Distribution Utility or another entity to function as a Distribution System Operator. It computes the Optimal Distribution Locational Marginal Price, maximizing profits for all market participants, and also dispatches these assets, while continuing to operate the grid reliably at all times.
